Image Processing

The keys to Egis image review quality include hiring, training and certifying Image Review Clerk (IRCs) in a manner that matches their skills and aptitude to the unique requirements of the work; providing them with the approach and tools that ensure productivity and accuracy; implementing a management system to properly oversee and control the image review process; and monitoring and reporting the results in a manner that supports good management and quality auditing.

Manual image review systems deployed by roadside and/or back office providers often require images to be manipulated in some manner and then read by the same IRC. The IRC must often find the plate region-of-interest (ROI) and correct any image deficiencies in order to read the plate number, identify the state/jurisdiction and the plate type, then type the correct syntax for the plate into the software. Egis believes strongly in the double-blind MIR process.
